Aoga Amata Preschool

A complete change of clothes. Disposable nappies and wipes for under 2’s. Bring some spares if your child is toilet training.

Please send children dressed in suitable, washable play clothes.

During the winter months, please provide woollen hat, warm cardigan / jumper, gumboots, socks and a pair of slipper for inside wear.


In summer, please provide a sunhat, sun block, a named drink bottle, shorts etc.

Please check the lost bin regularly. We like to receive spare plastic bags for dirty clothing.

Sick Soilded Policy

Parents/ Caregivers are responsible for providing their child with lunch and snacks for the child.  Leataata Aoga Amata has a no nuts policy, all lunch boxes will be checked to ensure children have healthy lunches. We have a no fizzy drink policy at Leataata which means we do not allow any drinks with high sugar content, we encourage our children to drink water.

Please refer to Ministry of Education website regarding choking policy and no nut policy. We encourage parents/ caregivers to ensure food in their lunch boxes are cut in small portions to reduce any chance from choking.  Staff will supervise children when eating, children are only allow to eat their own lunches provided by their parents/caregivers.

Daily Routine

We offer learning experiences which are designed to stimulate children to problem-solve and build their developmental learning using a holistic approach and based on Te Whaariki Curriculum.  This combined with xxx

We have six qualified teachers which are supported by a group of experienced support.

Our preschool hours are: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Learning Experience

We have a lot of experience in caring for children as our preschool has been operating for more than 20 years.

We are licensed to provide early learning services for 50 children and are a total immersion service.  This means that the Samoan language is spoken around 80% of the time.  Don’t worry if you or your child are not confident in the language, our trained staff interact with children building on their previous knowledge of the Samoan language and culture.

4 months - 5 years

The playgroup operates for 3 days from 9am – 12pm.  The cost is FREE, One qualify teacher and two supporting teachers are running the playgroup, resources are free for the children and also morning tea will be provided.
